eBay scraps fees for private sellers in UK

Can make that extra 2.4p on the pokemon cards I sell now, living the dream.

In all seriousness it's a good move.

That's a pretty huge announcement!

Paid them £££s for selling a sealed Team Rocket booster box a few months ago...

But, yes, great news for private sellers.

They also are now leaving your balance in your account, presumably so you can use your balance to make purchases, falls in line with Vinted, and reduces processing fees for ebay as they can pass round wooden dollars.

Didn't see that. Will have to remember to withdraw the money!

Yeah, believe that comes in on the 16th October.

Holy shit. No final value fees?

EDIT: Just checked. Wow. This is HUGE and will surely give the platform a much needed revival. I always wait for the 80% off final value fees offer they send out before selling, but I wondered why it hadn't arrived this month.

Just an update on this, sold something yesterday (a camera lens) paid no fees, and they have changed the payouts now so that the balance stays in your eBay account and you withdraw it when you want (otherwise its paid out monthly). I withdrew funds today, expecting it to land Monday, it was in my bank right away! Much better than the old system.
