Can't blame the owner - the domain was registered in 1997, and the website could be nearing 30 years online. How long can one realistically keep hosting it? A small educational and sentimental purpose, likely with very few visitors these days to appreciate it. Choosing between preserving that heritage for a few more years or taking 20-30k is a tough but logical choice. Besides, after a year of blackjack & roulette, it will most likely get deleted again and can be restored to its former beauty by the same owner (or a keen new archiver) ;)
