Been a while developing, but now, the online catch service at https://transcom.uk has had a big revamp with new code written in C++ , live today for the first time, test catches yesterday were good..

Nothing else change, still 10, 25 or 50 for a catch, no limit and no pre charges.

Cheers
Bill

thx, how many 3 letter couk domains has your system caught in past year for example ? can you see what customers catch

We can but many dont want to publish, you can check on those that we can report on in the site.

As for 3 letter domains... every once chases the easy money , but theres probably several thousand going after those at the same time..
so, you know what the odds are..

Cheers

You can’t gauge competitiveness based on 3 letter domain names. I have hand registered several this year.

You can. As the op asked - the .co.uk's, not the crappy .uk's pairs once dropped by the .co.uk owners, before they were offered for £5 a pop. Now obviously not alluring to anyone.
But the .co.uk drops receive the highest number of requests and have the highest competition, even though their reseller value is £1-1.5k at most. But it is a sure bet and since even £30k SEO domains receive less requests, it is telling that some catchers only look for easily identifiable targets.

All good points, I didn’t notice they’d asked for co.uk 🙂

Easier to parse results out by length or with a dictionary, than it is to identify SEO domains :) One is programmatic, the other takes some knowledge

The other takes a subscription to an API service like AHREFS.

Even getting metrics from an API isn't going to tell you the full truth behind an SEO domains value if you're basing it solely on number of inbound links, source of those links, and domain authority.

Ain’t that the truth.

thx so u can see the catches of everyone using your software to catch domains ? telling how many 3 letter domains caught on your software seems a good way to show how good it it ? how many 3 letter couk domains has the software caught in say last 12 months ? thx

I wish :) that is the bare minimum

I have a folder on work PC where I checked mostly .com/net/org domains 3-4 times a week for 4 years looking for SEO domains, all stored in .txt files and dated.

Now it is second nature, just quickly scanning through, checking the anchor text, backlinks and a few other metrics (not DR/UR/TF/CF or any of these made up algorithms). You can filter them down but you need to know what you are looking for.

.uk domains are weird now with the igaming people buying them all up, previously .uk domains were 3-4X cheaper than .com, now .uk is twice the price on average.
