Your flip.uk data may soon be sold!

It's the Acorn of the auction platforms. An obsolete platform nobody uses.

For me DL has the domain auction market in the UK sewn up. Sure you could undercut it and ask for 4%, 3% but what's the point for all that effort.

What I'd use Flip.uk for is to sell active websites, for me the name is better suited for that. Nobody in the UK really focuses on active websites that make cash.

I'll pass on buying the data this time and wait to see if there is a Christmas 'data giveaway' like what happened with the other website which was detected and highlighted by someone on this forum.

I also don't buy the 137m implied visits. I am assuming those figures are to make people think 137m unique have visited this mega global site. When someone implies their tiny little website is drawing huge traffic then a quick website stats check speaks volumes to me.

JB.

You can't take anything of value from raw traffic numbers to a domain auction site as there is a revolving door of dozens of domains redirecting there while they're for sale and 100's of people accidently landing there when they wanted the old site.

Whether @rdce80 is planning on selling or not, he needs to keep an eye on his Trustpilot account.

Some idiot left a one star review a fortnight ago, seemingly intended for a completely different company, and because it's the only recent review it's dragging his score down massively.

Is it being sold before or after the promised rewrite that they were already working on?

Spurious review now removed.

I expect @rdce80 will be along shortly to thank me for the heads-up.

Didn't they have big plans for flip.uk with a big upgrade due soon.

Wonder why the change of plan?

Just to show a little Christmas spirit here RDCE800,

No one is going to see your little auction on the crappy little flip.uk website so I've taken the time to find you a far superior DOT COM domain to build a truly global auction platform solely to showcase and auction ALL of your past and present online ventures. The domain would also be perfect to list the crap your best buddy Helmuts keeps announcing as his latest projects and the ones his sugar daddy keeps paying for. No need for thanks!

The domain is currently free to register and is flipaflop.com (An exact match keyword especially for you to sell all of your current website portfolio if you so choose). In my opinion, the domain is descriptive to perfection 🤪
