If this isn't you, Ben, I would eat my hat. But playing devils advocate, Ben was/is a very, very intelligent individual and is as proficient at writing code as you and I probably are at investing in rubbish domains. On top of it all, his understanding of Nominet's infrastructure was unparalleled, and led me to believe he had some sort if insider knowledge.

You've spelt the name incorrectly. Just saying...

It was done using the EPP lock command.

You would get one of two result codes returned, one whilst the domain was still registered another when it become available.

If you reckon it was the same method Ben was using, your success rate was great, but comparably low to his.

Although, Ben was using several "family" tags, for which he got busted by Nominet eventually.
