DDoS on Wayback Archive, 31 million passwords compromised

Same, keep forgetting it's down. I use a macro workflow with Alfred to search, and keep forgetting it's not up at the moment.
 
Interesting timing, with the US election in a couple of days
Yeah, there's been a few things happening recently that give you that feeling.

People have mentioned the same thing about the whole kerfuffle around WordPress, and how many government websites are built on the platform. It had some minor impact on some local US government websites during the hurricanes that happened recently, and ensuring the websites were up to date with security patches - I assume because they were hosted on WP Engine that they were blocked from getting the auto-updates native to WordPress.
