I can assure you that I don't need protecting from anyone. The good thing about a forum is you can gauge the intelligence of those who post and I would seriously stop posting if I were you.

Sorry @Ree, I’m really confused about this whole situation. Who are you and what is this all about? Why are you so combative and aggressive, but seemingly not really saying anything at all? Also, why have I received a DM from some Brian Semley, is this a relation to you? What’s going on? The tone of the forum has been brought down with all of this nonsense, and needs to stop 🛑

Yes I got that too, @Ree seems to be impersonating someone else - probably why he has given us little detail about this. But the link to Barnsley council in the footer, and company house records still make me suspicious.

I got (presumably) the same DM at 02:13 this morning from someone called Brian Semley, who claimed not to know who @Ree was. I wonder if that particular claim will bear scrutiny by @adm.

This nonsense has now been going on for eleven days. If the intention is to persuade people not to vote for Rob, @Ree and @Brian might want to consider the possibility that their posts and DMs to date have been such an incoherent mess that they might actually get Rob some sympathy votes.

Genuinely, what is this about. Who sends a mass DM at 2am in the morning, from a new account? It didn’t even make sense to me. Lucy gave out her number to some people, and now she’s back working for some company I’ve never heard of. Who is Lucy? Who is Brian? And why are they being mentioned? Who is Ree? Why is Barnsley council being mentioned? What has Rob actually done (if anything)? I was voting for Kei anyway because he’s backed by Blackler, who I like a lot. But I feel sorry for Rob right now, who is seemingly the victim of some sort of smear campaign.

To cut a long story short…

Lucy Connor and I have been in business together since Aug 2013. Lucy is now 30 years old and I’m 56 years old. She has been like a daughter to me.

Lucy attended Helmuts conference in 2023 and got talking with a few people (gave her number out). I’m sorry for all the trouble.

Lucy is back with me at NCL Limited as of this week.

So this "Brian Semley" person seems to be an impersonator.

He has registered with anonymous, privacy-preserving "nominetaudit@proton.me" email, trying to imply he is connected to this "nominetaudit" website, but it is such a lame attempt.

He then tried to post in the "Nominet Board Election" thread, but his post was held for moderation. Recognizing that his "activity" is very time sensitive and he could be banned soon, he began DM'ing his message to forum members (bypassing those who can take action).

The content of his post looks not just dubious, but outright idiotic to anyone willing to dedicated at least a minute of their attention and fact-checking.

In the message signature which you omitted, this "Brian Semley" claims to be of caresupplies.co.uk (is a trading name of NCL Limited (Company Number: 07770335) Vat Registration: GB 167 2842 86). But looking at the details at Company House, one can see that the members of the company are only "Ree Semley" and "Lucy Connor".

Ree was already posting here under his verified persona, so this looks like Brian attempting to limit the damage from Ree's posts, trying to downplay the issue and create a false apology to Rob:

So this IP by itself doesn't tell us much, except being a Virgin Media Business customer..

But in a matter of public interest, I looked up this IP among users of DomainLore...

.. and can't believe my eyes!

The name of the user came to "Andrew Bennett" - the only person who ever signed with this IP, twice in 2025.

Woah, I thought.. this might not be a co-incidence - Let's see who is baking Rob Golding..

After witnessing such a cover-up and reading what Ree (albeit too emotionally) and Lucy had to say, I came to the conclusion that Rob Golding is not a NED candidate I am going to vote for.
