If you are lucky and you get clear skies tonight, there's a very good chance of seeing the Northern Lights from Scotland, the north of England and Northern Ireland.

Best time is between 10pm and midnight, assuming it's dark by then, and away from artificial light.

Also much easier seeing them through a camera / phone lens than with naked eye ;)


 
If you are awake and reading this and have clear skies, you may see the northern lights! Reds, oranges, greens and purples in my sky!

Red alert atm so may be visible anywhere in UK with clear dark skies.

Took this in May outside my house with my phone. Never seen it before like this in my life. 30 second exposure.

Lovely colours. Wish I could have gotten out with the camera, but I've got my eldest over tonight and she's asleep. Would love to take her out and show her this stuff when she's a bit older.
