Boy and a Girl?

Were thinking of getting another one next year, hear mixed reviews on having two girls or two boys.

Is a boy and girl the best match?

It is a boy and a girl, the male has been snipped.

But it is probably an impractically anyway due to one being X3-4 bigger than the other. the boy is 13 now, and the girl 3 so I think it is a good match, they don't run around like crazy.

I wouldn't do two girls as they have a tendency to fight, but two males snipped are usually okay. I have family who have 4 boys and they playfight together but nothing serious.

Mine is a complete ball ache at times. As I type this he is barking his head off at some fox pups in the garden, he's a little bastard but wouldn't be
without him.

We got him just before lockdown, and when the kids were interested they setup an insta account for him:

Photo taken of our Dobermann when she was eight months old, she's now now 8 years old.

We live right by the river Wye (which the RAF periodically use as a navigational aid for their training flights) so her favourite pastime is chasing off Chinooks and jets that dare to invade her airspace - she literally races from one end of our half-mile stretch of the river to the other barking at them until they're out of view - how she's never hurt herself while going like a bat out of hell is one of those mysteries of the universe but it keeps her happy. :)

This is our 'Hansom' Henry! Sadly, we lost him last year after 17 wonderful years of creating countless family memories together. He watched both our girls grow up and was such an integral part of the family, he’ll always be remembered.. After his passing, a huge hole was left in the house. It’s the silly little things you miss... like being greeted at the door with a shoe, or how he just knew when you weren’t feeling well.

Sending big love to all you other pet owners out there.

That truly is a handsome dog!

I'm a first time dog owner, and however morbid it sounds, I genuinely dread the day we lose any of our 3x miniature sausages.

Thanks for your kind words @seemly .
Defo cherish the time you have with them, as pets are an AWESOME addition to any family.

Btw, I just told my youngest daughter you have 3 sausage dogs.. "REALLY... THREEEEEE!!", Lol. My wife's dad has just one and she absolutely loves her to bits "Daddy.. daddy.. can we get a sausage dog" haha!.

As weird as this may sound if you say it out loud.. SHOW US YA SAUSAGE PICS!!

Freddo is the black one. He has adopted me as his human. We're best friends. He's an itchy dog, has stinky breath, but we absolutely adore each other. He'll make friends with practically anyone, but not a fan of bigger black dogs.

Freda is the ginger sausage. She woofs a lot, but is the kindest and softest dog ever. Loves showing her belly for rubs.

Pippin is the brown sausage. She's a nervous dog to anyone/anything outside of our 4 walls, so she tends to stay on her lead almost all of the time. Even at 4 years old she still has a very puppy-looking face. She LOVES food, and I've never seen a dog quite so talented at eating their food as quickly as she does.

My best friend, Margo. Had her since she was 11 weeks old, when her owner decided he worked too much to have a puppy. Came from Manchester, and decided she enjoyed the Lake District much better. 10 this year and still as bouncy as ever. A carrot a day, and swimming in the local lakes and rivers chasing ducks keeps her happy. Goes everywhere with me. Cannot sit still for a picture btw.
