Two weeks ago, I was at WTO (far right); this particular panel where I was invited to contribute, was focused on 'Empowering MSMEs through Digital Trade'.

I've posted since;-

'My thoughts/position post-session:- is that we’ve got to be careful that digital 'market entry' doesn’t become synonymous with bottlenecked e-commerce channels.

Oversaturation serves no one.'

That is exactly where domain names come in - of course, I'm consistently dispelling the narrative around Amazon, eBay, even Tiktok etc., they might be viable options for some but in my opinion, certainly not all.

'For MSMEs globally, especially in developing markets, I believe the opportunity lies in harnessing the #psychology of 'customers influence buying' - understanding, 'mapping', and investing in this, alongside, of course, #IP/ #intellectualproperty.'

Again, this is exactly where domain names come in. and the .UK holds prestige and a powerful consumer message.

I haven't publicly discussed 'domain names' (yet) but through private conversations the subject and means of acquisition is surfacing...

I do think even isolated, there's plenty of 'golden nuggets'/market 'nuances' that domain investors can recognise and perhaps find insightful from the session. I don't usually take down notes but I was in this case, little memos for later.

- I highlighted Dr Shamika's remark on 'digital presence against discrimination' in a recent LinkedIn post. :)
