Hello.
I have just sold a domain via Afternic. I am UK based. I need advice about what payment method to use. The money is in US dollars just now and I have the payment on hold. I am really confused by all the payment options and mention of fees. What method is best? Paypal, Wire Transfer? Local Bank? It seems like every method has hefty fees involved.
New to domain selling and would love to get help with this one.

Wise, Monzo, Revolut - register for one. Then create a "wallet" in USD for your chosen bank, then find the local bank details for your USD wallet - enter these into Afternic and have it paid into your USD account. You can then keep it in USD, or exchange it into GBP.

If it is Wire transfer, make sure you check with them where they send the payment from - if they send it from the US, then you don't need to use SWIFT.

I am in the same position asked Afternic if they can pay out in £ sterling which they have agreed to do.

I believe on a big sale it would be cheaper to get a Wire Transfer in USD and pay the $26 fee and do the conversion yourself, if you have Wise/monzo etc

Okay so I set up a wise account - and am now stuck again. How do I enter that in Afternic? I took advise that it would be better for them to pay me in US dollars to Wise and then let Wise do the conversion to GBP but I cannot see how I put in the Wise details into Afternic's dashboard.
