Sad, but it suggests the £10k bid he supposedly received last December was bogus:Anyone else get the email?
Shame it dive-bombed so badly, it was a good platform. It has been noticed it was crumbling.
The writing was on the wall for Brandable when his staff started moonlighting for Ionos - without even changing her top en-route:
I get the impression from some of Frank's previous posts on Acorn that he thinks Helmuts is pretty clueless, so perhaps he's being sarcastic.I am curious why such a renowned entrepreneur and forum guru like Frank would make such a statement.
Morning Jeff,If you don't want to ask him what he means on Acorn, why not join DN.ca and ask him there?
Isn't that Helmets business model? Buying failing/failed sites, and making them worse? He could definitely achieve that here.I'm wondering why anyone thinks that this would be an opportunity for oldcorn?
Like you and @Ree, I'm not quite sure what Frank meant by that post, but I'd hazard a guess that he was suggesting Helmuts acquire the three closing platforms.I'm wondering why anyone thinks that this would be an opportunity for oldcorn? Removing platforms where sales could happen leads to less talk, surely, not more.
0 posts going lower is still 0.
I don't know for sure, but Acorn has several advertisers, so I imagine it's making a small profit at the moment. How long those advertisers stick with him if their ads don't convert into clicks and sales is another matter.Does anyone know if it’s actually profitable? I assume that will determine its long-term viability.
Thanks for posting that link, Jeff. Quite hilarious, in my expert opinion, I find the perceived industry clown's posts bewildering and delusional beyond comprehension. Why the hell would the likes of GD, Sedo, and all the major players give a damn if Meskonis takes over the 3 Aftermarket platforms, Ryan, Jeff, and Mo are closing down? Anyone involved in a rival enterprise would surely hope, in my opinion, that Meskonis take them on, which would ensure the destruction of 3 three platforms, removing competitors from the domain aftermarket space. He is still as delusional as ever in my opinion, and still just as entertaining to those who like to laugh at clueless stupidity.Helmuts has posted on DNForum giving an explanation (of sorts) as to why he won't be doing so:

I suspect the main reason is that he doesn't have the technical knowledge to run any of them.
