Is it Time to Stop the Bitterness Towards Acorn Domains?

Correction: one person or bot.

I'm waiting for the announcement that May's Chicago summit isn't happening.

Looking at the website, the countdown clock is confidently showing 121 days, but there's still no venue, no speakers other than himself, and he hasn't even figured out that Chicago is on Central time, not Eastern time.
Why such negativity? Have you guys ever talked someone into buying something, e.g., forums for you? And then again talked them into continuing to pay for using the things they bought for you?

If one can manipulate people in such a way, I believe they can do anything! Let us be more positive!

He may already be at the point where he has to pay others to use the thing he paid for.

I think Helmet needs to accept the forum is dead and move on, but I suspect he's not going to be willing to understand the position he's put himself and the forum in. He wanted to tell everyone he ran the biggest/best/only UK domain forum and he's dropped the ball entirely.

Take out all the spam he's deliberately putting in there to let it look busy (paid posters, AI bots, using feeds of news sites/domain sales to create the appearance of activity.

Where was the last thread with legitimate, non bot or spam activity, with a healthy domain conversation? He's killed the thing entirely.

Let us be more positive!
I am positive!

Positive that he's wrecked a once-great forum (the bot posts are just the latest example), and equally positive that he shouldn't be planning summits in other countries until his London summit at least breaks even.

Registering here with a throw-away email to make your first post about "positivity" on this forum? If not Helmuts, someone (perhaps deliberately) mimicking his vibes. You already have a very positive place you can go to.

Perhaps someone who still has an account over there would care to ask him in the "Ask Helmuts" thread:
Hat tip to @philiporchard for stepping up to the plate and asking him - but you might want the say "the other forum" so as not to give him an excuse to delete your post.

What news on the .com you were after? What stage in the cycle is it?

Sorry you didn't catch the sarcasm in my post

Well, when you're desperate for money and everyone else seems to be profiting from the same opportunities you aren't, it's often easier to blame and seek to change the place

Welcome to the forum @dom, whether you're Helmuts, the ghost of JMI, or neither.

We're simple folk here, and it's a domain forum, not a remake of 3-2-1, so please do us all a favour and don't talk in riddles.

Shame you don't listen to anyone many times people advised and you didn't listen...

Welcome to the 4m forum (again) Ryan! Good to have you back!!!

I can feel the energy from your immense brain power and I know the positive admin from the other forum doesn't play childish games. 🃏

I don't think it's Ryan, who would have just used his existing account.

It may or may not be Helmuts, who I see has deleted and ignored @philiporchard's question on the subject, but replied to the rest of Philip's post.

He must feel very threatened by this place, but as @Marek and @media have pointed out above, he's entirely responsible for the position he finds himself in.

Quite sad really.

@dom trying to infiltrate the decentralised 4m to see if he can buy it and turn it to ashes, lol.

It is probably easier to find financial support there than in the UK. I mean, for how long can you give away free tickets to friends, people not even related to the industry, simply to inflate attendance?
And yet the UK does not seem to need this.
